Know someone who's worthy of a logo?
Okay, so something else new created from my worn little brain...
Periodically, I will hold this contest to allow folks to vote for someone to receive a pro bono (read: FREE) logo.
Do you know someone who needs a new logo? Someone who just started their business maybe? Someone who is in desperate need of an identity overhaul? Vote for them, and they may just win, and you could get lucky, too!
How it works:
- Leave a comment stating who you believe is worthy of a logo, and most importantly WHY. Doesn't have to be a sappy story, just tell me why! Let's keep it fairly short.
- Be sure to include YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS! Sorry, but those without email addresses will not be included.
- When the winner is chosen by a random drawing (www.random.org), you will be contacted. I need to hear back from you within 2 days, or it will go to someone else using a random drawing.
- The person that nominated the winner will also receive some goods. They will receive one FREE set of templates, as well as a $100 gift voucher to use on any design service I offer (logos, business cards, blog header, splash pages, etc., etc.).
- You may not nominate yourself! Let's keep with the spirit of giving folks. :o)
- A person cannot be nominated more than once - let's keep it fair! Any duplicate entries will be deleted.
Do it fast - this contest will stop accepting entries on Monday, May 12th! Winner will be chosen Tuesday, May 13th.
Rules and all that jazz:
Winner will receive 2 concepts and 3 revisions based off the questionnaire sent to them. They will receive their logo in both layered Photoshop .psd and also the vector (Illustrator) .ai file.
Winner agrees to all terms and policies as stated on my site.
Gift voucher presented to the nominating person does not have to be used, but if used, must be within 30 days of contest end.
I'd like to nominate my friend Jennifer Nguyen who is slowly starting a photography business. Having a logo designed for her would get the business in motion and she has talent! :)

I'd like to nominate my wife, Mallika. She just started her photography career and launched her website, www.mikifoto.com. I am so proud of the work she has put into this along with taking care of our 2 boys. Its amazing to finally see her find a path that fits her. It would be the icing on the cake to have a new logo to go along with this.

This would make my friend Michelle Riddle's Year! I think this might give her the encouragement that she needs to keep going towards her dream, sharing her love of photography with others! We met at a photography workshop and not only has it been super great to encourage her, but she's been such an encouragement to me!

I would like to nominate my wife. She is passionate about photography. She has great talent and really wants to start making money. I know others are in the same phase but let's face it, I love my wife so I'd like her to win it more than anyone else.

I'd like to nominate Dana Fontaine. I met her at a Photography for Women workshop last month and she is absolutely amazing. She is trying to balance family and her photography business (which she is just starting), so I think it'd be great to see her win.

I would like to nominate my friend Danielle McElhaugh. She recently launched a photography business and wants to turn this into her full-time career. She's off to a great start with some fabulous photos and a lot of talent. Now she just needs a great logo to go along with it.

My wife, Kristen Ritchie has recently been talking about getting a new logo for her busiiness. She has been following her dream of being a photographer for quite a while and has become a very talented, original, and determined one. Getting her business to a self sustaining level would mean so much to her, myself, and a welcome addition to our community. Getting a logo would be like the final step to the process.

Do any of us really deserve anything?? Great question to ponder. A client of mine Janet Stephens (of THGphotography.com) is an outstanding person who is always finding beauty in others in a way that I myself couldn't do. She is an up in coming photographer and all the rage in the senior market in her part of the world. She so DESPERATELY needs an identity worthy of her work. Thank you!

Gloria Meredith--my wife--is in desperate need of a logo makeover. She has a photographic talent that is unmatched, but needs a relaxed, jazzy, urban logo to go along with her style.

I would be thrilled if my friend, Cyndi, was chosen for the free logo. She's a stay-at-home mom to four wonderful children. Her husband is in the Navy and currently "out to sea". Cyndi never complains about managing a household alone. She is a dedicated wife, mother, and friend. Cyndi has an inherent gift for photography...her photos are fabulous! She dreams of starting her own photography business and sharing her incredible talent. A personalized Chocolate Cactus designed logo would be a wonderful surprise for this amazing woman. I nominate Kelly Ellison. She is working very hard to keep her family together with the many struggles that she faces each day. More struggles than any one person can imagine.
I would love to see her get this so she might be blessed personally and in business so that she is able to help out her family financially. I think it would be a great boost for her.......I would love to see her blessed with an awesome logo from you Jodi!!!

We have been friends since we were 13! and our friendship had survived every test life had put us. She is a very talented photographer but most important she is an awesome person. I had helped her all I can to build her business, after pretty nasty things that happened in her life she lost confidence in herself but in the past year I have seen her bloom again, she is a warrior and I am very proud of her. As I said I helped her with everything I can, unfortunately logos are not my strength and she desperately needs an image for her business.
